Data Deletion

Delete your account and data.

Valoquent stores conversation transcripts, character memory, and account credentials to deliver the experience. Two paths are available: in-app deletion removes associated Valoquent database data in one transaction; email requests are processed within 30 days of confirmation. Vendor processing is described below.

III

What gets deleted.

Account deletion removes your account record, conversation transcripts, character memory, and derived data from Valoquent's database in one transaction. If session recordings are enabled, Valoquent also requests deletion of the associated Cloudflare R2 recording prefix after the local transaction commits. The application does not itself enforce a fixed-day automatic expiry for recordings.

Account credentials
Email address, authentication tokens, and any profile data associated with the account.
Conversation transcripts
All recorded text from sessions with historical figure characters, used for the conversation meter, learning reports, and the Tapestry.
Character memory
Topics discussed, emotional moments logged, and unfinished threads stored per character across sessions.
Subscription status
Entitlement records and purchase history held in Valoquent's systems. App Store purchase records are governed separately by Apple; contact Apple for those.

ElevenLabs processes conversation audio and state during sessions. For sessions with a stored ElevenLabs conversation ID, Valoquent sends a targeted deletion request to ElevenLabs after local deletion. Some earlier sessions do not have a stored vendor ID, so this application cannot individually name those records; the documented 90-day ElevenLabs retention backstop applies to that historical backlog. Vendor cleanup is separate from the local database transaction and may require retry if a vendor request fails.

IV

What is retained.

After deletion, a small set of anonymized operational records is kept for fraud prevention. No personally identifiable information is included.

Fraud-prevention counts
After deletion, two kinds of operational records are kept: account identifiers stored as one-way hashes, used to prevent abuse (for example repeated account creation to collect free credits), and an audit record of the deletion itself. These records contain no conversation content, and the deletion audit record stores the account email only as a one-way hash. Fraud-prevention hashes and audit records are retained as long as they are needed for those purposes.
